The perfect "Love and hate" song

Underneath the spreading chestnut tree
I loved you, you hated me
What a happy couple we should be
Pity it will never come to be

---------

Yet more sightings of the young loves arm in arm. I was in the library - for no apparent reason - with Holey at break time and Rachel passed causing me to make a small squeaking noise and bury my head under arms.

I really shouldn't be so cruel to Rachel.

My brother is annoying me very much. I shouted at him about ten minutes ago "There is one thing I hate the most in this world and it's you". Could be a good line in a lyric.

Playlist

"Zoolook" - Jean Michel Jarre
"In concert" - OMD live tape *
"Somersault of love" - Perfect Vision **

"White trash" and "She's leaving" (from OMD live tape) and "Isolation" by Joy Division remind me of Rachel.

The weather is worse than yesterday.

I gave Newton IBM T2

Who cares?

Footnotes

* OMD live concert broadcast by Radio One the previous weekend. I've still got the tape.

** Perfect Vision were one of my favourite discoveries from Peel in 1984, someone should get the rights to their singles and mini LP and lone Peel session, oh and the live songs from the ICA rock week Peel hosted that autumn. Then reissue them. I'll write the sleeve notes. RIP Jon Lewin.
