Remember The Teacher Files? Of course you don't because they were torn out by an angry teacher back in 1983. Well they now have a sequel - The Pupil Files. Inspired by degrading comments from Spillers and me. They shall mostly be about the present but with one or two dives into my past.

Now isn't there a song called "I'd rather go blind"? Well Newton and I did our tour of the school and we passed the teachers car park. I commented on my darkened glasses (I can't get used to them) and he said "So you didn't see Rachel and Kinny kissing on the steps?" I hadn't. We went round again and they were still there. Thanks to Suzanne for telling me to give up on her. **

Not much else happened. Oh yes! There are people claiming that Melissa's friend Julie is fancied by Howard. I don't believe a word of it and neither does Howard. ***

I might be on Bk 14 by the exams.

"Oh no, what can we do?" ("Heaven and hell", The Grey Committee, 1983) **** I overdubbed guitar and vocals on "Fond regards..." but I don't like them there.

Trust Morrissey to think up the best song title of the year. "I want the one I can't have". I wish I'd thought of that.

I think I'm getting an inferiority complex.

Where did that stupid statement come from?

Lesley told me off for calling her and Elaine slags *****. I apologised to them both and Elaine said it didn't matter. Even so I'll stop calling them that name because I don't like being cruel. ****** 

Newton still hasn't played IBM T2. After the weekend he's going to give it to Huw so the old distribution system returns.

I hope the records we sent off for come soon. I'm drawing out £15 after school tomorrow. I'll buy batteries for the synth and on Saturday Brud and I are going up to Cardiff.

Howard is annoying me by singing songs from an old musical called "My Fair Lady".

* There is absolutely no way I would be placing this sort of hateful and hurtful nonsense online. Doesn't matter that I have no idea where 99% of these people are. It's clear the comments are written on the rebound of previous events. Even the comments about my friends aren't that nice. So no, you're not reading them. But I have to register their existence here as they will get mentioned. 

** I don't remember being interested in Suzanne. (Checks what I wrote about her in the Pupil Files). Nope. 

*** On the other hand I had a secret crush on Julie and never told anyone. She mysteriously disappeared before we sat our O levels in the summer of 85 and there were a lot of rumours about that. I'll leave it there. 

**** The Grey Committee was my band name at the time. "Heaven and hell" is still waiting to be recorded properly 41 years after I wrote it.

***** I have edited out where I called them slags so really this has no context. Incidentally I recently found a picture of Elaine from back then on the school FB page and realised I'd been barking up the wrong tree with Rachel. Even though I kind of knew that at the time. 

****** In the same diary entry of the Pupil Files??? Fucking hell I was a mass of contradictions.

Hello again I've got good plans for the diary tapes. But I'm not writing them down yet. Bev read Bks 12 and 13 today. Good for her. * I might be getting a La Dusseldorf LP (Who?) ** ------------ I think Lesley read all of Bk 11 because she asked me about "Love and hate" and my (non existent) play ***. Friday 16th November 1984

Oh dear 1. Outside school this morning, for no apparent reason, Beverly shouted out "Jackie Whitehouse" and I stared at her. After school I was walking away from Beverly, Alison and the "lovers" when Bev shouted out for me to turn around. I turned round and Bev was pointing at Jackie. I said "No way, Bev". I walked with Jackie later and didn't dare say anything to her.* Oh dear 2 Almost everyone in the school followed my instructions from yesterday. To add to my embarrassment, Mulrooney cut the picture out and stuck it on her notice board in the computer room. I therefore publicly proclaimed the photo to be terrible. -------- My glasses shaded over at lunchtime and Newton and I wandered around school. By the Junior Bloc a kid said "Oh, dark glasses to look cool, is it?" I ignored him. As I entered the Old Bloc I walked into solid black. Ha ha ha. Wednesday 7th November 1984

The time is 7:15 am My terrible dream It is a normal day in school but everyone's parents come in on this day too. I sit next to Newton and wait for my parents. They sit behind me and - horror of horrors - they are sitting next to Rachel's parents. (I have never seen Rachel's parents, I only realise it's them because she was sitting with them) * I leave for home very quickly. No, I don't leave for home, I go to the Old Bloc and meet Howard. We watch parents and Rachel out of a window and I go home. When I arrive I go straight to my room. After a short while Mum and Dad come in with "some friends". These friends sit outside on the patio. Ever curious I go to see who these friends are and it's Rachel's parents and Rachel. I run back upstairs. That's about all I can remember. There's a bit about cats but that part was horrific.
