Maths was a doddle and Newton agrees.

45 in Latin, 77 in Computers Theory. Which brings us to...

The competition again! We were up against Cardiff High * and thrashed them 36 - 23!

When I got home I watched Brud's video. Really disgusting it is too. All about tarts (note : Rachel) and pornography. During some disgusting pictures there's background music of a rotten version of Kraftwerk's "The Model".

Note : Rachel. As she and Bev, Alison and Helen approached this morning Huw said "Here come the slags" which is not a very nice thing to say about them. I tell Huw that it's not a nice thing to say and he says "Why don't you say it? You used to!" 

I didn't talk to Rachel today.

* This one felt slightly personal. Cardiff High was the school my father attended many many years previously. Spoiler alert - we lost the next round in January and everybody refused to be in the team the following year so Stanwell didn't compete after that. 

** Perfect Vision and Hard Corps songs from the Radio 1 ICA rock week broadcast a week or so before. "Je suis passe" would be Hard Corps' second single and their first for Polydor in Spring 85. "Impossible blue" would end up in a lesser form on Perfect Vision's debut mini LP "Tongues out" in 1987

A large outcry about the deletion of my diary from almost all sides - except Rachel, who is probably silently glad that I'll stop. That's where you're wrong, my dear. Stanwell school may think my life in words comes to a grinding halt on December 4th but I know it isn't. * I hate Lesley. She said to me after History "You make me puke" which is what I would expect from her. Then she asks me in Physics for a book of my diary. Fuck off! I am working on a third verse for "Fond regards..." ** Music world eruptions. Holey wants to buy a guitar. That could rule him out of any possible band I form. *** Brud's band are getting together again on Saturday so I'll do my tape technician bit. Should be good for a laugh. Neil Walker said he had read one of my earlier diaries (bk 4 by my reckoning) and said on every page there was a mention of Debbie and an OMD lyric. Quite true! Monday 26th November 1984

Title for entry - "Robert Morgan Dies" God I'm glad to be alive. More on that later. Not much happened in school as usual. I hadn't done some homework and thought I'd get killed for it. Hence the title. As usual, saw Rachel, as usual, with Kinny, as usual, arm in arm around school. While on the subject of school, the rumour about me fancying Alison is spreading. I have denied it because I don't fancy her and I know she doesn't fancy me. I think it was started by Jeremy Hall.* Now to the main topic. Going home from school I was walking with Jez Hall, Mumford and Cooper. When we came to cross Victoria Road I stopped and the others ran across the road. I shouted "Trying to get run over, are you?" I then looked around and ran across but didn't see a car coming from my right. It braked hard, blew its horn and I only just dodged it. "Bloody hell, I survived" I think to myself.
